Gas stations around Edmonton out of gas

If you stopped to fuel up at a number of gas stations in and around Edmonton Friday, you may have been out of luck.
Many stations ran out of gas with no explanation and no word on when they might get their next fuel delivery.
“We are not receiving any delivery. Yesterday (Thursday) we received a delivery, like a small tank, but it was out in three hours. And since yesterday we are out of gas. I don’t know, maybe it’s because of the weather,” explained Jasdeep Singh, Esso manager.
Sources tell CityNews that the issue is not a shortage of fuel, but delivery truck backups due to the incredibly difficult week of cold weather that we’ve had. Some stations are expecting fuel deliveries as early as tonight, and do not expect a shortage for Christmas.
