Edmonton police say a 33-year-old man was killed after colliding with a construction vehicle on Anthony Henday Drive in southwest Edmonton on Sunday morning.

Police say the collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. near Terwillegar Drive.

Investigators believe a three-person road construction crew in a Ford F-350 was removing delineators from the inside westbound lanes.

EPS says two of the workers were outside the truck while the other drove the vehicle.

Police say the 33-year-old victim was travelling in the same lane and crashed into the rear of the Ford. He died instantly.

The workers were not injured.

The EPS major collision investigations section (MCIS) is investigating.
