Albertans charged in one of Winnipeg’s largest methamphetamine bust

A pair of Albertans have been charged by Winnipeg police following a $6-million drug bust.

Winnipeg police say on Oct. 12, the guns and gang unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Sterling Lyon Parkway in Winnipeg.

During the search of the home, officers found roughly 63 kg of methamphetamine — worth roughly $6.3 million — making it the largest methamphetamine seizure by the guns and gangs unit.

On top of methamphetamine, WPS found 3.4 ounces of fentanyl, 6.6 ounces of cocaine, and 2 Litres of GHB with a combined value of roughly $32,000.

Dennis Bobko, 35, and Bryan Arnold, 37, were both taken into custody and have since been charged with four counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of proceeds of a crime over $5,000.
