Man shot, car torched in southwest Edmonton; police believe incidents connected

Police say a man in his 20s was injured in a shooting just before midnight Monday in southwest Edmonton.

Police say officers arrived at 11 Avenue and 103A Street to find the victim with gunshot wounds.

He was treated on the scene before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

An EPS spokesperson says the victim was uncooperative.

Around 1:05 a.m., police say they received reports of a car on fire near 17 Street and 58 Avenue.

Investigators believe the incidents are related.

The investigation is ongoing.
