Edmonton police say they have located the motorcycle allegedly involved in a hit-and-run collision with a police officer earlier this week.
Police say officers executed a search warrant at a home in the Windermere area on Friday.
The red 2005-2006 Honda CBR 600RR motorcycle was located.
“We would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance distributing photos of the motorcycle and helping us to solicit information,” said Sgt. Travis Cruise with the EPS major collision investigations section.
“We received many helpful tips and were able to locate it as a result.”
EPS says the collision happened Wednesday around 7:15 p.m. near Terwillegar Drive northbound and 37 Avenue.
Officers had been stationed at a construction zone and were conducting traffic enforcement at the time. The officer who was struck reportedly tried to signal the motorcycle to pull over when they were hit.
The officer was treated on scene by EMS and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer continues to recover in hospital.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
