Coutts border blockaders facing more charges

Alberta RCMP have laid more charges connected to its investigation into the Coutts border blockade that happened earlier this year.

Thirty-two-year-old Marco Van Huigenbos from Fort Macleod, 53-year-old Alex Van Herk from Fort Macleod, and 43-year-old Gerhard (George) Janzen from Taber are facing one charge each of mischief over $5,000.

Mounties say the three men were “key participants” at the blockades. They have been released, and are set to appear in court in Lethbridge Oct. 4.
