Police charge man connected to death in early August

One person has been charged by Edmonton police in connection to a homicide in early August.

EPS say on the morning of Aug. 10, police responded to a report of a man who appeared to be unresponsive near 118 Avenue and 96 Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the man, and they pronounced him dead.

A couple days later, the Edmonton Medical Examiner report the cause of death was a gunshot wound, and then ruled it a homicide.

EPS say, through an investigation, that they were able to arrest and charge a 23-year-old man believed to be linked with the death. He was charged with second-degree murder on Saturday.
