Pedestrian killed after being struck by train in Leduc

RCMP say a 50-year-old man is dead after being struck by a train south of Edmonton on Wednesday.

The collision occurred on the train track between 50 Avenue and 65 Avenue in Leduc.

Leduc RCMP say it happened around 6:40 a.m.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

Leduc RCMP and CP Rail police are investigating.
