Edmonton Oilers to donate proceeds from 50/50 to Ukraine relief efforts

The Edmonton Oilers are looking to lend a helping hand to Ukraine with this week’s 50/50 raffle.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress Alberta Provincial Council says it’s taking part in “Alberta Stands with Ukraine” week, which follows Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last month.
The Oilers are holding a 50/50 raffle for the coveted Battle of Alberta and will be donating 100 per cent of proceeds to those suffering in Ukraine.

The raffle is part of the #HelpUkraineNow initiative that will support the Canada Ukraine Foundation.
As of this publication, the pot sits at nearly $250,000 with the draw running until Wednesday.
Monday’s edition of the Battle of Alberta will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Calgary.
