Edmonton homicide charges laid in connection with 2021 death

Four men have been charged in connection with the death of an Edmonton man in 2021.

On Sep. 22, 2021, a missing person’s report was sent out by Edmonton police for Donald Blizzard. Police said at the time Blizzard was last seen two months earlier at the Clareview LRT station.

“Prior to that date, on Sep. 13, 2021, Mayerthorpe RCMP responded to the discovery of human remains near Range Road 43, north of Township Road 560. A Sep. 15, 2021 autopsy determined the cause of death required further testing, and the manner of death remained suspicious,” EPS said.

“Working closely with the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU), EPS Homicide detectives later identified the deceased as missing male Donald Blizzard.”

EPS has charged Justin Michael March, Kevin Daniel Turner, and Andrew Timothy Walker with second-degree murder, unlawful confinement, indignity to a body, and obstruction of justice.

A fourth man, Mark Elder, has been charged with indignity to a body and obstruction of justice.
