Reynolds, a 45-year-old father of two, was killed at the Village Mall Walk-In Clinic in Red Deer on Aug. 10, 2020.
Lawyer Jason Snider, who was appointed as a friend of the court to help Mabiour, who intended to represent himself, says Mabiour died at Calgary’s Foothills hospital.
The cause of death has not been confirmed but court heard earlier this year that Mabiour had attended an appointment at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary for a serious medical issue.
Reynolds, who was originally from South Africa, was attacked with a weapon while working at the clinic and later died in hospital.
