National hotline aims to end COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy

VaxFacts is a doctor-operated hotline that offers answers to patients’ questions and concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine. Sarah Chew tells you how you can book your 20 minute appointment with a physician.

EDMONTON (CityNews) ─ Doctors are making themselves available by phone to combat COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy via a national hotline.

Doctors from VaxFacts hope to answer vaccine-related questions and concerns from Canadians across the country.

“We hear people with all different kinds of reasons for being hesitant, and that’s totally OK,” said VaxFacts lead physician Dr. Latif Murji. “It’s OK to have questions and concerns.”

Anyone in Canada can book an appointment to speak with a doctor.

“The most common questions are people want to know about fertility, breastfeeding, pregnancy, and if there’s any interaction with the vaccine in that sense,” said Murji.
