EDMONTON – The province has launched a new tool to help Albertans find and apply for affordable housing.
The new online tool, called Find Housing, helps people determine if they are eligible for affordable housing and shows them options according to their situations.
It will also help streamline the application process for people seeking affordable housing.
The provincial government says the guide was created with help from current tenants, housing operators, and social service agencies.
More than 110,000 Albertans live in government-subsidized housing units and another 24,000 households are on waitlists for affordable housing programs.
