Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion official in Edmonton for the weekend
EDMONTON (CityNews) – After two years and a little help from Warner Bros, the Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion is now official.
A petition started by Lauren Hunter CityNews’ sister station Sonic 102.9 reached over 27,000 signatures and gained international attention thanks to Fillion’s new film the Suicide Squad.
The City of Edmonton decided to change the name of the City Hall for the weekend to coincide with the film’s release.

“Do I have to shovel the walk?” asked Fillion in an interview with Hunter before the Pavilion’s naming.
As to whether or not Fillion will have to shovel the walk remains a question left with the City of Edmonton.

But either way, the Edmontonian will be honoured to have his name as a part of the city.
