EDMONTON (CityNews) – An Edmonton Police Service officer has been charged in relation to an incident that occurred last weekend.
On March 13, Const. Hunter Robinz was charged with multiple charges including assault, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a prohibited device.
EPS say the charges stem from an off-duty incident that took place in Stony Plain, Alberta the day before.
Const. Robinz was working in a non-operational role and has been relieved from duty without pay.
Following the completion of the court proceedings, an investigation by the EPS Professional Standards Branch will take place.
