Alberta reports 463 new cases, 24 additional deaths due to COVID
CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Alberta is reporting 463 new cases of COVID-19 as well as 24 more deaths on Sunday.
In her daily summary on Twitter, Dr. Deena Hinshaw revealed the new cases were on 10,237 tests for a positivity rate of 4.4 per cent.
The 24 new deaths brought the province’s death toll to 1,549 since the pandemic began.

Of the 652 people still in hospital, 111 are in the ICU – a drop of just three from the day before.
“We continue to see encouraging signs with the decline in active cases and hospitalizations,” tweeted Hinshaw. “Let’s keep the momentum going and follow all public health guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”

There are currently 652 people in hospital, including 111 in intensive care. Sadly, I must also report 24 new deaths. My heartfelt condolences go to the families and friends grieving a lost loved one today. (2/3)
