717 new COVID cases and 15 deaths reported on Saturday

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Dr. Deena Hinshaw is reporting 717 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta and 15 deaths linked to the virus on Saturday afternoon.
The provincial death toll rose to 1,417 since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 765 Albertans in hospital including 122 in intensive care units — both decreases from the day before.
NEW:

The province has more than 12,700 active cases.
More than 7,400 people have been vaccinated since the last update. The total number of Albertans vaccinated is now 81,561.

In a tweet, Hinshaw encouraged people to get outside this weekend and “enjoy the mild weather.”
