Ben Harper looks to follow in his father’s footsteps

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Former Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s eldest son seems to be following in his father’s footsteps by getting involved in politics.

Maclean’s first reported that the 24-year-old Ben Harper has landed a job as an aide in Premier Jason Kenney’s office.

Harper has been working at the legislature since June, bouncing around several ministries, but now the government’s official directory says Harper is a policy advisor for the Premier.

Kenney himself has a close connection to the Harper family, as he was a cabinet minister in the Harper government.

The former Prime Minister himself, though, is still in Calgary, running his business consultancy company.
