Two men dead after collision on Drayton Valley Highway

DRAYTON VALLEY – Two men are dead following a collision on Highway 22 in Drayton Valley around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

The men were in a pickup truck, which police believe veered into oncoming traffic and into a semitruck between 50 Avenue and Highway 620.

The semi was travelling northbound. The two men died on scene.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured. Traffic was diverted until Thursday afternoon as the RCMP collision analyst conducted a scene examination.

The investigation remains ongoing.
