EDMONTON – Police are warning the city that a violent offender with a previous sex assault conviction has been released in the Edmonton area.
The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) says Wilton Devine poses a “significant risk of harm to the community”.
The 34-year-old was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a young woman who, at the time of the assault, was a minor.
EPS says he also has a violent history of assault and often used weapons, including guns, in his attacks.
Devine will be monitored by the Behavioral Assessment Unit and has a long list of rules he must follow.
