Over a dozen gun charges laid against ‘prolific offender’: EPS

EDMONTON – Police have laid several gun-related charges against a 34-year-old man they call a “prolific offender”.
EPS says it recently got several tips about a man who had and was using illegal guns in and around Edmonton.
Investigators narrowed in on a home in Sherwood Parks and with a search warrant last week, they found four rifles, a shotgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, an over-capacity magazine, a $10,000 stolen flatbed truck and a stolen military jacket.
Thomas Ogilvie is charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime, three counts of firearm knowledge of unauthorized possessions, and five counts of firearm possession contrary to a probation order
Ogilvie is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and under $5,000.
