Callingwood baseball diamond death not criminal says EPS

EDMONTON – The medical examiner has determined the death of a man in the city’s west end is not criminal in nature.
Officers were called to the scene–near 117 Street and 69 Avenue in Callingwood–around 9:30 a.m. Sunday after a passerby came across a body a man’s body at a baseball diamond.

On Sunday EPS said it was still unclear if the death was criminal or not, but investigators were treating the discovery as suspicious at the time.
Police now say the medical examiner has confirmed the man’s death to be non-criminal.
