Couple robs Torrington Hotel

TORRINGTON (660 NEWS) – RCMP are searching for two suspects after the hotel in the small community of Torrington was robbed Wednesday.

Olds RCMP said around 9:30 PM on Oct. 16, a man and woman pulled up to the hotel in the hamlet northeast of Calgary.

The man entered the hotel bar and pointed a gun at the only person inside, a staff member, and ordered him not to move.

The woman then entered, and both suspects went behind the counter and stole the till containing cash.

Both exited the bar and fled westbound on Highway 27 in an older white pick-up truck, possibly a Ford F150.

The man is described as being 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall, lager build and wearing a red balaclava, black sweater, black pants, brown boots, and a dark hat with white emblem.

The woman is described as being approximately 5’0″ tall, thin build, and wearing a striped backpack, dark pants, dark knee-high boots, dark grey jacket, white balaclava, and a black ball cap with a white symbol.
