CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The RCMP are releasing more details about an Amber Alert that was triggered early Saturday morning.
Fox Creek RCMP were called to a home in that community around 1:30 a.m. after reports of a child abduction.
Three children: four, three and nine months old, were taken from the home in a vehicle, allegedly by their mother.
Around 7 a.m. the Sylvan Lake RCMP found a vehicle on Highway 20 north of Sylvan Lake in the same location where the mother and three children were found.
The children were unharmed but taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Charmaine Darnel, believed to be the mother, was arrested and taken into police custody and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
The RCMP are crediting the Amber Alert for a quick resolution to this incident.
