CALGARY (660 NEWS) — An unusual-sounding charge has been laid against a man from Edmonton — he’s accused of attempting to carry out a “terrorism hoax”.
RCMP say the US consulate in Calgary received a letter indicating a man was planning terrorist acts against Canadians and Americans, including his own wife.
However, following an investigation, police allege a man wrote and distributed the letter, in an attempt to implicate his roommate.
Martin Palasz, 54, is charged with one count of terrorist hoax, and one count of public mischief.
