CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A judge has ruled Alberta Party leader Stephen Mandel can run in the upcoming provincial election.
Elections Alberta had previously ruled that Mandel had filed some of his paperwork late and would be subject to a five-year ban.

In its decision, the Court of Queen’s Bench judge, Justice Gaylene Kendell says there were mitigating circumstances which led to the return being filed late that included his chief financial officer being ill and that Mandel had acted in good faith.
She also says the delay was not long and the nomination was uncontested.
