Fun frizzles after weekend dance party injuries at Edmonton waterpark

EDMONTON – Three people were taken to hospital after an electronic dance music party at West Edmonton Mall.

Emergency medical services were called to the Soundwave event at the mall’s waterpark early Sunday morning.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) said one of the injured was in potentially life-threatening condition while the other two were in serious condition when they were taken for treatment.

AHS hasn’t said what caused their injuries.

The event was billed as the wildest indoor beach party.

Six people were sent to hospital last October after a Soundwave party at the mall.
