Lawyer receiving death threats after questioning Kenney’s expenses

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – An Ottawa lawyer questioning United Conservative Party (UCP) Leader Jason Kenney’s living expenses, has said he is now receiving death threats.

Political activist Kyle Morrow said he’s been harassed relentlessly on social media since accusing Kenney of claiming a Calgary residence while living in Ottawa.

Morrow said he did not attack Kenney’s mother but said he is now being attacked and threatened.

On Twitter Morrow said he was merely asking, “why?” Kenney was claiming $900/month in (taxpayer-funded) residence subsidies in Ottawa, while simultaneously listing a Calgary senior’s retirement village as his residence.

Kenney said he was living in the basement of the building, yet Morrow claimed to that the bungalow didn’t even have a basement.

Morrow documented how Kenney collected residence subsidies in Ottawa between 2012 and 2015 while listing his mother’s retirement home address as his address with Elections Canada.

On Saturday, the UCP leader posted a lengthy rebuke saying the allegations are false. Kenney added that he has been a proud Alberta resident for nearly three decades.
