Man who died in Nisku explosion has been identified

NISKU (660 NEWS) — A man who was killed last week after an explosion and fire at a welding business just south of Edmonton has been identified. A former co-worker confirmed Devron Chase, 40, died on Dec. 27.

He was working at Ja-Co welding and consulting in Nisku when the explosion happened. Chase is survived by his wife and three young daughters. An unconfirmed gofundme campaign has been set up for his three daughters.

Two other men were taken to hospital with serious injuries. A Gofundme campaign validated by the company has been created for Eric Fabbro, one of the men injured in the blast. Just under $3,000 has been raised so far. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
