Liberal MP responds to Alberta NDP trolling ad

OTTAWA (660 NEWS) – The Federal Minister of Natural Resources understands why the Alberta NDP made such a bold move at the Liberal Christmas party earlier this week.

The NDP projected a slide outside of the federal Liberal Christmas party that claimed to show how much money is being lost every day because pipelines aren’t moving Alberta oil to world markets.

Minister Amarjeet Sohi said he understands the frustration.

“We are very proud to be standing, firmly supporting Alberta’s oil and gas sector, workers and communities and we will continue to do so. I’m very proud of what our government has done for Alberta, and we will do more.”

Sohi agrees Alberta is losing billions of dollars due to a lack of market access and that his party is working to get oil to market.

“That frustration is the reason that we are moving forward on building the pipeline capacity that’s been lacking. We’re moving forward on building Enbridge Line 3. We’re moving forward in the right way on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.”
