Suspicious death in NE Edmonton

EDMONTON (CITYNEWS) – Edmonton Police’s Homicide Section has been called out to investigate a suspicious death in the city’s northeast.
Around 6:40 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the report of an assault near 108 Avenue and 31 Street in the Rundle Heights neighbourhood. Police found an unresponsive 56-year-old man near the community’s Rundle Park.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There are few other details available–no word yet on who a suspect or suspects could be, or if the victim and his attacker knew each other. An autopsy still has to be scheduled.
