Edmonton driver taken to hospital after crash, vehicle fire on Anthony Henday Drive

A driver was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle collision that resulted in vehicle fire Tuesday morning.

Police say they responded to a single-vehicle collision, along with EFRS and EMS, at Anthony Henday Drive and 50 Street.

When CityNews reached the location, a charred cement truck was spotted, as crews worked to clear the scene.

Some Edmontonians took to social media to share pictures, stating they saw plumes of smoke.

Police say the driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and they continue to investigate.
