Canadian actor shows support for Alberta frontline workers

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – A celebrity with Alberta roots is thanking frontline workers in this province.

Actor Michael J. Fox was featured in a Twitter video from Alberta Health Services showing gratitude to health care workers across the province.

Although Fox lives in New York City, one of the hardest-hit cities by COVID-19, he said he knows the hard work being done by doctors and nurses.

“Here in New York, it was a nightmare, and I imagine back home it was not too fun either. I really appreciate it, we really appreciate it. You’ve been incredible, we are so grateful.”

Fox, best known for his role in the “Back to the Future” movies and the 90’s sitcom “Spin City” was born in Edmonton.
