Two men dead after crash in northern Alberta

FORT MCMURRAY (660 NEWS) – Two men from eastern Canada have died after a two-vehicle crash in northern Alberta.

Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to Highway 63 at the Albian Sands turn-off on Thursday, which is around an hour north of Fort McMurray, at around 1:20 p.m.

A truck was driving northbound in the southbound lane when it hit a semi-tractor.

A 56-year-old man from Prince Edward Island and a 40-year-old ma from Nova Scotia were both pronounced dead on scene.

The drivers’ names will not be released and there are no other updates expected.
