ALPINE SKIING
- Men’s Super G: James Crawford came in 16th in the final, Cameron Alexander was 17th, Brodie Seger came in 22nd place, Riley Seger did not finish
BIATHLON
- Women’s 15km Individual: Nadia Moser came in 67th place in the final, Shilo Rousseau placed 78th, Pascale Paradis was 24th, Benita Peiffer did not start

Without Captain Marie-Philip Poulin, the Canada women’s hockey team lost 5-0 to the U.S., giving them a 2-1 record heading into their final round robin game on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Short Track Mixed Team picked up Canada’s first silver medal.
ALPINE SKIING
- Women’s Team Combined – Valérie Grenier/ Laurence St-Germain finished in 13th place in the final, Cassidy Gray/Ali Nullmeyer were disqualified
BIATHALON
- Men’s 20km Individual – Adam Runnalls finished 64th in the final, Zachary Connelly was 66th, Jasper Fleming came in 86th place, Logan Pletz was 77th
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
- Women’s Sprint Classic Style – Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt, Sonjaa Schmidt, Alison Mackie and Jasmine Drolet did not move on to the final
- Men’s Sprint Classic Style – Xavier McKeever, Antoine Cyr, Thomas Stephen and Rémi Drolet did not move on to the final
FIGURE SKATING
- Men’s Singles Short Program – Stephen Gogolev finished 10th, qualified for the free skate.

Olympics Day 3: February 9, 2026

Megan Oldham picked up Canada’s second medal, another bronze, in Women’s Freeski Slopestyle while the Women’s Ice Hockey team beat Czechia 5-1 in their second match-up of the games. Canadian captain Marie Phillip-Poulin left the game with a lower-body injury. It was not immediately known if the injury would affect her ability to play in their game Tuesday against the U.S.
CURLING
- Mixed Doubles: Canada beat Switzerland 8-4 in round robin but will not advance to the playoffs. The team ended with four wins and five losses.
FREESTYLE SKIING
- Women’s Freeski Slopestyle: Megan Oldham won bronze, Naomi Urness finished in 7th place
FIGURE SKATING
- Ice Dance, Rhythm Dance: Piper Gillies / Paul Poirier finished third, Marjorie Lajoie / Zachary Lagha finished ninth, Marie-Jade Lauriault / Romain Le Gac finished in 15th.
HOCKEY
- Women: Canada beat Czechia 5-1
LUGE
- Women’s Singles: Trinity Ellis sits in 15th place after the second run, Embyr-Lee Susko is in 17th spot. The final two runs are on Tuesday.
SKI JUMPING
- Men’s NH Individual: Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes did not qualify for the final, finishing in 45th spot after the first run.
SPEED SKATING
- Women’s 1,000m: Carolina Hiller-Donnelly finished 26th in the final, Rose Laliberté-Roy was 27th, Béatrice Lamarche placed 5th

Speedskater Valérie Maltais is the first Canadian to reach the podium at the Milan Cortina Games, winning a bronze medal in speed skating while Canadian athletes posted top 10 finishes in Alpine Skiing and Snowboard. Meanwhile, the Canadian women’s hockey team began defence of its gold medal with a win.

- Mixed Team finals: Free Dance; Canadians Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha placing third with a score of 120.90 to earn Canada eight points on the table.
FREESTYLE SKIING
- Women’s Slopestyle: Megan Oldham finished 7th, qualified for final; Naomi Urness finished 8th, qualified for final; Skye Clarke finished 21st, DNQ; Elena Gaskell finished 23rd, DNQ

Olympics Day 0: February 6, 2026

The Opening Ceremonies officially kicked off the 2026 Winter Games on Friday. Moguls skier Mikael Kingsbury and ski-cross star Marielle Thompson held Canada’s flag in Livigno during one of three athlete parades held simultaneously with the event at the Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium. Approximately 135 of the 206 Canadian athletes competing joined them across all four locations. Prior to the Opening Ceremonies, Canada’s figure skating mixed team competed in three of the four events held in qualifications and currently sits fifth overal,l while Canada lost its first mixed doubles curling event to the United States.
CURLING
- Mixed Doubles: Canada (3-1) lost to United States, 7-5
FIGURE SKATING
- Mixed Team: Piper Gilles, Paul Poirier (Rhythm Dance) finished 4th; Lia Pereira, Trennt Michaud (Pairs’ Short Program) finished 4th; and Madeline Schizas (Women’s Short Program) finished 6th; Canada sits 5th overall
Olympics Day -1: Thursday Feb. 5

Canada’s game against Finland scheduled for Thursday was postponed because of norovirus cases affecting the Finnish team. Canada beat both Norway and Italy in mixed double curling while Francis Jobin qualified in sixth place for the Snowboard Big Air final.
CURLING
- Mixed Doubles: Canada beat Norway 6-3, Canada beat Italy 7-2
ICE HOCKEY
- Women’s Ice Hockey: Canada vs. Finland (postponed to Feb. 12)
SNOWBOARDING
- Big Air qualification: Francis Jobin qualified in sixth place, Eli Bouchard and Cameron Spalding did not qualify.
Olympics Day -2: Wednesday Feb. 4

Before the Olympic torch is officially lit during the Opening Ceremonies on Feb. 6, some early events are being held in Milano Cortina. Canada’s Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant beat Czechia 10-5 in the opening event of the Olympics.
