Edmonton police say two people have been taken to hospital following a rollover collision at the intersection of 23 Avenue and Millwoods Road, Monday evening.
EPS says officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection around 3:43 p.m.
“It was reported to police that a 2011 Lincoln MKX was travelling southbound on Millwoods Rd through the intersection at 23 Avenue on a green light, when it was struck by a 2004 Dodge Caravan travelling westbound on 23 Avenue through a red light,” said EPS in a statement.
“The collision reportedly caused the Caravan to roll multiple times before coming to rest in the intersection.”

Paramedics responded to the scene and took a 37-year-old man who was driving the Caravan and a 61-year-old man who was driving the MKX to hospital with serious injuries.
The part of westbound 23 Avenue was closed for a couple of hours, but has since reopened.
An investigation is ongoing, and police are asking if anyone witnessed the collision or may have dash camera footage to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
