4 hospitalized in collision involving police vehicle Thursday afternoon

Edmonton police say multiple people have been taken to hospital following a collision involving a police vehicle Thursday afternoon.
WPS says around 2 p.m. on Aug. 7, a police vehicle that was driving with lights and sirens was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of 118 Avenue and 97 Street.
Reports indicate that the two officers and the passenger within the police vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours following the collision, but was reopened Thursday evening.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
