Edmonton man accused of stealing vehicle, golf clubs in Sherwood Park

Police say an Edmonton man has been charged in connection with three separate thefts in Sherwood Park last month.

Strathcona County RCMP say on May 29, a suspect stole sunglasses, a watch, and a chequebook from a vehicle in the Salisbury area of Sherwood Park.

Police say the man then stole a wallet and a garage door opener from a second vehicle, and used that remote to allegedly steal two sets of golf clubs from the garage.

The man is then accused of stealing a 2009 Nissan Altima from a third home. That vehicle was tracked by GPS and found by the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) in the Millwoods area of Edmonton.

A man was arrested, and investigators allege he was responsible for all three thefts.

Jesse Gruchy, 35, is facing multiple charges, including theft of vehicle and breaking and entering. He is scheduled to appear in court June 25.

None of the charges have been tested in court.
