Edmonton homicide detectives investigating death in Holyrood parking lot

Edmonton Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred over the weekend in the southeast Edmonton neighbourhood of Holyrood.
On Sunday, at approximately 4:18 p.m. officials responded to a suspicious circumstance complaint at a community hall in the area of 94 Avenue and Holyrood Road.
When they arrived, officials located a deceased body in the parking lot.
EPS homicide detectives are investigating as the circumstances around the death look suspicious.
An autopsy took place Monday and confirmed the deceased to be a 32-year-old man. The Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office was unable to determine the cause and manner of death, noting both are pending toxicology.
Police are also asking those in the area to reach out if they noticed anything suspicious over the weekend.
