Edmonton getting 10-20 cm of snow Thursday

Snow is on the way for Edmonton and large swathes of the surrounding areas.
The snow is scheduled to begin Thursday, with Environment Canada warning it could become heavy at times starting early in the morning.
By the time it ends Thursday evening, between 10-20 cm of snow is expected to cover Edmonton as well as the west, central and northcentral parts of Alberta.
The weather authority warns highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
“There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas,” Environment Canada wrote in an alert. “Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.”
