When officers arrived at the station, they found a man, who was later confirmed to be 13-years-old during an autopsy, dead.

Through initial stages of an investigation, EPS learned that the teen was part of a group of four youths and an 18-year-old who allegedly assaulted a 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman at the LRT station.

Four people were reportedly taken into custody at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, however, police note that the group and the pair that were assaulted were not known to each other prior to the incident.

Since, three teens — aged 14 and 15 — and an 18-year-old have all been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possessing an offensive weapon dangerous to the public. Police have confirmed to CityNews that all of these charges are in connection to the assault on both people in their 30s and not in connection to the homicide.
