Spruce Grove resident killed in morning collision west of Edmonton

Alberta RCMP says a Spruce Grove resident is dead following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning.

Around 6 a.m. on Feb. 5, Mounties from Morinville responded to a report of a serious collision at the corner of Highway 633 and Range Road 27.

Police say the 29-year-old driver of one of the vehicles involved, was taken to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries, however they died from their injuries.

Officers remained at the scene for several hours following the collision to investigate. Initial reports say that the vehicle that was being driven by the driver who was killed, had failed to stop at a stop sign when it was hit by another SUV.
