Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant for human trafficking

Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) has issued a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of 28-year-old Kemron Alexander who was allegedly involved in sex trafficking a 12-year-old girl.

Alexander faces 11 criminal charges related to human trafficking and sexual assault. He is known to travel between Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Vancouver, Kelowna, and the B.C. lower mainland area and has connections to Ontario.

“Our primary concern is supporting this child victim and exhausting every measure to ensure she is protected from her alleged perpetrator. We need to get him in custody and we need the public’s help in locating him,” said S. Sgt. Frank Page.

Police say the child has been reunited with her mother and has received support and specialized care resources.

ALERT says it’s worked closely with Fort McMurray RCMP, Kelowna RCMP, and Vancouver Police since the investigation started in May 2022.
