CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Alberta is reporting 811 new COVID-19 cases and 12 additional deaths linked to the virus, one day after establishing its highest single-day death count since the start of the pandemic.
The 12 deaths reported on Sunday were much lower than the 31 reported the day before.
Alberta’s COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 1,284.
There are currently 794 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, of which 128 are in intensive care units.
As of yesterday, 44,994 doses of vaccine have been administered across the province, giving a rate of 1,017.5 doses per 100,000 as we continue to ramp up immunization efforts. (3of4)

In a tweet, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said the province’s test positivity rate is 6.4 per cent.
“Please continue to follow current health measures in place: wear a mask in all indoor public settings and keep social gatherings to members of the same household,” she added.
