AHS corrects error that resulted in COVID-19 results not being delivered

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is following up with people whose COVID-19 test results were not delivered by the automated text message or autodialer systems.
AHS said the error affected those awaiting test results from Sept. 10 to the 29.
Albertans whose negative results were impacted by this issue will receive a phone or text follow-up from AHS. That process has already started. All positive results are already followed-up by phone call.

Those whose results were impacted by this issue will receive a phone or text follow-up from AHS.
The error that caused this issue was identified and corrected on Tuesday and monitoring has confirmed it has not impacted any results since then.
It’s believed about 5,000 of the 224,000 test results from that time were affected by the error.
