40 new COVID-19 cases in Alberta, no new deaths

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The Alberta government reported 40 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of active cases to 336. There were no new deaths to report.

Of the 336 active cases, 29 are in continuing care facilities. Calgary remains the most affected region, with 223 active cases.

There are currently 44 people being treated in hospital in Alberta, six of whom are in intensive care.

A total 6,656 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.

The next media update with Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw is scheduled for Monday.
