Telus says earlier outage to mobile customers fixed

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Telus says an outage that affected thousands of mobile customers across Alberta has been resolved
The company said it experienced a service outage in parts of Western Canada. affecting wireless services and some wireline customers.
“Our team immediately identified the outage and restored services within an hour. We know how critical connectivity is for our customers, especially during this public health crisis, and we sincerely apologize for the service interruption”

An emergency alert was issued province-wide saying the outages were preventing Telus cell phone customers from dialing 911.

A similar outage affected thousands of customers last week in Red Derr, Calgary, Airdrie and Clearwater County.
