Police on the lookout for stolen CFL rings

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police are asking you to keep an eye out for two CFL rings stolen from a truck belonging to Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell.

Earlier this month, a thief broke into Mitchell’s truck and pinched the two rings–a 2018 Grey Cup ring and a 2018 CFL Most Outstanding Player ring.

Police have arrested the person believed responsible but the rings are nowhere to be found.

Cops are hoping sports memorabilia enthusiasts might be able to help.

“Given the uniqueness of these rings, it is highly likely that someone in our community knows where they are or will come across them,” said Cst. Sean Lynn.

“These rings represent more than just a piece of jewelry, they represent significant accomplishments and we would all like to see them returned to the rightful owner.”

Anyone with information is being asked to call Calgary Police at 403-266-1234 or by submitting a tip anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
