HIGH LEVEL – Wildfire season in Alberta has officially begun as Alberta Emergency Alert has issued a warning for residents in the northwest town of High Level.
A wildfire just south of the town isn’t threatening High Level just yet, but the town and province are encouraging people who live nearby to “stay aware of the evolving situation”.

“A number of fire departments will be arriving to assist with the protection preparations. Please welcome them to our community,” reads the town’s website.
