GoFundMe surpasses halfway mark in support of Calgary mother and daughter

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Just one day after it was a launched, a GoFundMe page in support of two Calgary murder victims continues to grow.

Over $17,000 has now been raised to help pay for memorial services for Jasmine Lovett and her 22-month-old daughter.

Meanwhile, the outpouring of support continues in Cranston where the pair lived as purple ribbons adorn the area.

The local Sobeys is also getting involved, selling purple and pink cupcakes from now through Saturday.

Officers discovered the bodies of Jasmine Lovett and her 22 month old daughter Aliyah Sanderson in a heavily wooded area near Grizzly Creek in Kananaskis Country on Monday morning.

Robert Leeming, 34, has been charged with second degree murder in their deaths.

 

 

Police say the cause of death of both victims is not expected to be released.
